Day 34 / 105 - Carolina Renaissance Festival

Before Thanksgiving, we traveled north of the city and back in time to attend the Carolina Renaissance Festival.  This 16th Century European entertainment festival is one of the largest in the nation.  The 25-acre theme park showcases cottages, castles, pubs, artisans, music, jousting, outdoor theater, and quite a bit of entertainment.

The festival is open during the weekends in October and November.  They also host three informational student days early in the season.  Unfortunately, our schedule did not permit us to attend the field trip days this fall, but I can guarantee we will make this a priority next season.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival does an outstanding job of blending imagination, fantasy, and history.

We had such a great time and simply cannot wait to visit again!
